WORKSHOPS & TEACHING

I began my career with a degree in Furniture Design in Leicester, followed by four years working at an interior design consultancy in London. I then retrained as an art teacher, gaining a PGCE in Art and Design in Brighton.

Alongside teaching, I spent 15 years as assistant artist and studio manager to Maria Rivans, working closely with her on elaborate collages, books and puzzles, including building designs from vintage ephemera and researching imagery for her work.

I now focus on my own practice, predominantly oil painting and hand-finished prints, alongside teaching workshops and summer schools. I also freelance as an image researcher and designer for Skittle Dog, an imprint of Thames & Hudson.
