Ancient Myths: Monoprint Workshop

Ancient Myths: Monoprint Workshop

Step into the world of Ancient Greek mythology and choose a character or mythical creature to bring to life through printmaking. Participants will explore the stories, symbols and forms associated with their chosen figure before creating an original design.

Using simple monoprint techniques, participants will experiment with ink, texture, line and mark-making to transfer their designs onto a fascinating selection of vintage, found and recycled papers—including old maps, newspapers and ephemera.

The result is a unique, atmospheric print that combines ancient mythology with the character and history of the found paper.
