Nature in Motion Workshop

Beginning with loose, expressive pencil drawings inspired by leaves, shells, seed pods, branches and landscapes, participants will explore how the shapes and rhythms of nature can be transformed into three-dimensional forms.

Using withy cane, wire and simple bindings, these drawings will become delicate hanging sculptures—abstract, organic structures designed to move, twist and turn gently in the breeze. The workshop explores drawing, observation, sculpture and movement, allowing each participant to create a unique piece that feels as though it has grown from nature itself.
